when you speak, i watch
flowers take shape
at the tip of your tongue
your touch waters the
rhizomes of love and truth
that are taking root in my ribcage
in each of my palms
resides a sunrise
and last night G-d placed
at the base of my spine
His secret heirloom variety
who knows what will sprout?
