i stumbled into G-d's marketplace
and asked the price of a
beautiful
glistening
gift in the center of things.

lifting this precious item,
"Loving You Madly"
revealed itself,
inscribed in the Heart's language,
at the core of this shining treasure.
i inquired the price of
loving
you
madly.

G-d replied:
"It will cost you your
steamy, disorienting love affair
with the future."

"Take it!"
was my only response
my body surrendered
my mind subdued, like a tame tiger.

i become prey and predator at once
docile and fiery
wanting and letting go.
all polarities dissolve yet again

now holding this gift
in the soles of my hands and feet
i let the blessings seep in through my pores...
